I’ve included on the following pages, extracts from The Daily Sketch, The Peoples Journal, The Edinburgh Evening News, The Scotsman, The Grimsby Evening Telegraph and a few unknown newspapers. All of these newspapers carried articles regarding the attack on the Rutlandshire and the bombing of Namsos, on the 20 April 1940

All these extracts are from the original newspapers kept by my grandfather since 1940. As you would imagine, they were not in the best condition after nearly 60 years and required some delicate handling.
